ABOUT MISO YUM

Miso Yum is a new QSR, founded in Queensland in 2023 by Maryanne Sproule and Adam Marrable, the founders and long time owners of The Boat Shed restaurant at Cotton Tree in QLD, which prides itself on its fresh and tasty, mainly Asian inspired, Modern Australian menu.

Born from the desire to buy quality, tasty, affordable food on the go, they purchased an outlet at a new transit centre to “take it to the streets”.  It is located on the Bruce Highway at Traveston, between the Sunshine Coast and Gympie. The menu is a fast food system, offering a fusion menu combining popular styles of Modern Australian with punchy Asian flavours in a healthy style, designed and delivered by real chefs. With Dylan Pettigrew setting up the new Miso Yum kitchen and leading the charge of our loyal passionate local team.

The inspiration for Miso Yum came from Maryanne’s family too often opting for Mexican food on the go, sometimes 4 or 5 times a week thus highlighting a gap in the new, quality food, fast food, mainstream market, for a different flavour platform.

From Sriracha Chicken and Soy Caramel Pork Belly Burgers to Rice bowls, Salad bowls and noodle bowls, with ingredients like Miso Salmon and Karaage Chicken, and then there is the very popular Bao Buns. Your fried chicken cravings are also covered with our Miso Yum boneless chicken and crispy fried wings with Sriracha and Korean sauces, and the always popular Sushi Traveller, which is a burrito style sushi packed with healthy protein and veges. The Miso Yum menu also caters for dietary requirements, like gluten free which the Asian style does so well. The popular Bubble tea, Mochi’s and loaded cookies are also a popular item on the go for an energy boost and we serve barista made, specialty coffee for your caffeine fix.

Coming from a very busy restaurant and with casual and fine dining backgrounds has given us the knowledge to convert our previous experience with Modern Australian and Asian flavours to Quick Service style. We have all the tools available to us now with online ordering platforms, modern point of sale systems and equipment to assist us to bring great food to you, on the go, anywhere. You don’t have to settle for less.
